Mornington Pier

Going back around the pier, you can reach 10-12 metres at the end of the pier, and the amount of life under the pier is amazing (if not a bit spooky). Easy for beginners, so long as you know the entry and exit procedure. SuburbMornington

Drive down Main Street in Mornington until you reach the roundabout at Esplanade Drive. You'll be at the top of the hill on the bay-side of town. Drive through the roundabout and straight down Schnapper Point Drive to the pier. Parking is often a problem, so arrive early, or late for a nite dive if you want easy parking. Otherwise, expect to spend 30 minutes waiting for a space to free up.

Morningtion is great, but too many times the visibility is not very good. It's still worth a try because when it is good, it's very nice. We often get our tanks filled at the dive shop in Mornington (Harbour Dive), check the visibility at the pier, and if it's bad we will go further down the peninsula to Rye or Portsea.
